Increase Potassium Nitrate (KNO₃): Higher oxidizer content speeds reaction, increases burn rate and potential pressure spike. Risk of instability if overdone.
Decrease Potassium Nitrate (KNO₃): Slower reaction, incomplete burn, reduced pressure output.
Increase Aluminum: Boosts heat generation and gas expansion, can lead to sharper pressure rise and more violent reaction.
Decrease Aluminum: Less thermal output, slower energy release, softer overall burn.
Increase Sulfur: Lowers ignition temperature, speeds burn, risk of spontaneous ignition if excessive.
Decrease Sulfur: Harder to ignite, slower reaction, more stable.
Increase Sugar: Slightly more gas production and ignition help, increases flame visibility but can slow burn if excessive.
Decrease Sugar: Reduces gas output, may impact ease of ignition.
